Danone needed to unite more than 300 employees behind an ambitious business objective while maintaining momentum over a 15-month programme. As Creative and Art Director, I developed a strategic campaign platform that transformed a commercial target into a shared journey, giving teams a common purpose that extended far beyond a single event.
Targets inspire spreadsheets. Journeys inspire people.
Danone's objective was clear: become market leader within 15 months. But ambitious business goals rarely create emotional commitment on their own, particularly across hundreds of employees with different roles and responsibilities. The challenge was to turn a commercial destination into something every individual could understand, contribute to and celebrate together.

Rather than communicating a business plan, we reframed the entire programme as a collective ascent towards Everest. Every milestone became another camp on the climb, every achievement another step towards the summit. By replacing abstract targets with a shared narrative, the initiative gave people a simple mental model for progress—making the commercial ambition feel personal, visible and achievable throughout the journey.

The Everest narrative gave employees from different departments a common language for discussing progress and success throughout the programme.
Breaking a long-term objective into recognisable milestones helped sustain engagement across the full 15-month initiative.
Danone achieved its objective, reaching the number one market position and validating the campaign platform that had supported the organisation throughout the climb.
David’s innovative engagement strategies didn’t just unite our teams—they helped propel us past the competition, securing market leadership.
